Between 2017 and 2021 a team at the University of Sussex (funded by the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme and the British Academy) have been building a web-app to map peri-urban agriculture using satellite imagery. The web-app also enables users to interact with the land-use maps and build models to analyse the distribution of land-uses and changes over time. This story map is a presentation of some of the analysis that was done using the web-app with our research partners at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. It draws on fieldwork that they conducted in Ghaziabad, India.
